Janelle B. Snoddy, MD

Pain Management Specialist

Dr. Snoddy is a physician at Metro Spine Pain Centers and is a fellowship trained pain management specialist with a passion for treating patients with complex pain disorders.

Dr. Snoddy obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the Xavier University of Louisiana. She attended Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC, and completed her residency training in Anesthesiology & Critical Care Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. She then completed her fellowship training in Pain Management at the prestigious Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Throughout her education and training, she has been inducted into multiple national honor societies and served on various boards and committees. She is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists.

Dr. Snoddy has published works and done lectures on numerous topics including spinal cord injury, post-operative pain management hyperalgesia, and spinal cord stimulation in treatment of chronic back and leg pain.

She believes the key to managing chronic pain involves an individually tailored multimodal approach, which includes a wide-array of image-guided procedures, personalized medication management as well as the implementation of physical and alternative therapies. Her goal is to provide all of her patients with the highest quality of care.

Dr. Snoddy continues to be active in teaching and mentoring young physicians with an interest in pain management while also participating in the day-to-day care of her patients.

When not caring for patients at Metro Spine Pain Centers, Dr. Snoddy holds an active interest in cooking, attending concerts, reading, traveling and spending quality time with her family.
